Information for Referring Physicians

F.A.Q. from Physicians

Are there any requirements for referrals?

We are a referral based clinic, patients require a referral from their physician to be seen for our services. Common indications for referral are:

  • Asthma
  • COPD
  • Shortness of Breath assessment
  • Interstitial Lung Disease (ILD)
  • Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA)
  • Cough
  • Breathing Issues
  • Home Oxygen Assessment
  • Diagnostic Testing
  • Respiratory Education

Patients do not require any specific testing prior to referral.

*Recent PFT and CXR are essential elements to pulmonary evaluation in most cases. If no recent PFT or CXR results are available, we may arrange these tests as part of our respirology consultation.

Most of the patients will have PFT testing (if required) and consultation with the Respirologist on the same day.
